The President of the MOC met the Sports Commissioner of Rodrigues

A friendly meeting was held on 5 December 2022, with the Sports Commissioner of Rodrigues Mr. Joseph Varok Ravina who was accompanied by his officers.

The meeting was described as cordial by Mr. Philippe Hao Thyn Voon. “There is a desire from the Sports Commissioner of Rodrigues Island and his officers to work in close collaboration with the Olympic movement. This is a good thing for the advancement of the sport. We have promised our support to Rodrigues Island, particularly in terms of the training of administrators and coaches. The Regional Committees will have to go through their respective federations. We have asked them to send their requests to us in relation to their projects, and the MOC will bring its contribution as far as possible”, declares the President of the MOC.

Indeed, the Mauritius Olympic Committee and the National Olympic Academy under the guidance of Mr. Sanjaye Goboodun will host a Sports Administrators course in Rodrigues Island in the upcoming months.
