According to Philippe Hao Thyn Voon, “The meeting was constructive and positive. It was essential to ease certain tensions and clarify outstanding issues ahead of the next CIJ meeting. Mauritius and La Réunion stand ready to provide their support so that the Comoros can successfully host their first Island Games. With one year to go before this major regional event, we must work hand in hand.”
The Comoros reaffirmed their full commitment to overseeing all aspects of preparation, particularly in terms of infrastructure development, logistics, and organizational coordination, in order to host the 2027 Island Games under the best possible conditions.
In a spirit of solidarity and regional cooperation, CROS La Réunion and the Mauritius Olympic Committee confirmed their willingness to share expertise and resources to support the host nation.
