The Mauritius Olympic Committee (MOC) is pleased to announce the outstanding success of the 12th edition of the Advanced Sport Management Course (ASMC), officially concluded on Sunday 5 October 2025 during a certificate award ceremony held at the MOC headquarters in Trianon.
This programme, implemented under the auspices of Olympic Solidarity, achieved an exceptional 100% success rate, with all 25 enrolled participants successfully completing the course, setting a new benchmark for commitment and performance.
Spanning six months, the programme commenced in March and concluded in September. It was led by Mr. Sanjaye Goboodun, Programme Director, with the support of Miss Vinesha Coocaram, Coordinator. The ASMC represents a strategic initiative in strengthening management and leadership competencies within the national sports movement.
The official ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Richard Papie, First Vice-President of the Mauritius Olympic Committee, along with Mr. Soureindra Seebaluck and Mr. Rajessen Desscann, members of the Executive Committee. They commended the exemplary dedication of the participants and emphasized the importance of applying the acquired knowledge and skills to the development of sport in Mauritius.
Comprising representatives from various National Federations, this cohort presented applied projects demonstrating their ability to analyse, plan, and innovate in order to enhance the performance and governance of local sports structures.
The full success of ASMC 2025 marks a significant step forward in the professionalization of the Mauritian sports sector. The MOC is now awaiting the official diplomas from Olympic Solidarity, which will internationally certify the competencies acquired.
These newly certified graduates now represent a strategic asset for the development of sport in Mauritius, contributing to efficient governance, modern and transparent management, and the optimal support of athletes towards excellence.
The Mauritius Olympic Committee reaffirms its commitment to sustainably investing in the training and development of stakeholders within the sports movement, thereby consolidating the foundations for a promising future for Mauritian sport.
